Sergei was born in 1891 and was a famous Russian Soviet composer, pianist and conductor. He is regarded as one of the major composers of the 20th century and created many masterpieces. During his lifetime, he completed operas, seven symphonies, eight ballets, five piano concertos, two violin concertos, a cello concertos, aa symphony concerto for cello and orchestra, and nine completed piano sonatas. Out of all of his works, Peter and the Wolf remains the most famous.
