What's Going On:
Big Day of Giving Success!Big Day of Giving is Sacramento's annual day of philanthropy and we were overjoyed to receive such generous support from our community. Sensory Friendly Dance supporter, Omar Haq and his organization, Conquer, generously donated a $5,000 matching contribution to our campaign and within 24 hours, and thanks to the support of 33 donors, we made our match!
Contributions will support our commitment to offer our community free and low-cost tickets so everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the arts. Since SFD's founding in 2017, we have annually donated 100 free tickets to our performances for families with a financial need, as well as kept general admission ticket prices to our performances and dance classes just $5 per person. SFD believes that the arts are for everyone and thanks to your support on Big Day of Giving, we are able to transform that belief into action. |
Recent Performances:
Ron Cunningham's "Peter and the Wolf"On August 21, 2021 we presented Ron Cunningham's delightful Peter and the Wolf ballet for over 300 audience members in-person at The Sofia, home of B Street Theatre, and via live stream for audiences across the country. Sacramento filmmakers Natalie Manning and Ryan Wooten also transformed our live performance into a beautiful movie that we made available for unlimited viewings between November 30th through January 2nd for families to enjoy at home. All of this was made possible thanks to a generous matching grant from the California Arts Council, our performance sponsors, and generous people like you!
